Amy Kay Melton

Amy Kay Goldner Melton passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 23, 2026. Born on May 1, 1967, in South Korea; Amy lived life with a strong sense of who she was and what she wanted. She had a passion for fashion, hair, makeup, and traveling, and she loved anything that gave her an opportunity to stand out and express herself. She was fiercely competitive, including through her years of competitive bodybuilding, and she brought that same determination and confidence into many areas of her life.

But perhaps nothing captured Amy’s heart quite like her French bulldog, Mochi. He was her constant companion and truly her whole world. Wherever Amy went, Mochi was likely to be right there with her. Their bond was unmistakable, and it became something that many people came to know her by. Mochi even became a little celebrity in his own right, appearing in several books dedicated to photographing French bulldogs.

A proud graduate of Coloma High School's Class of 1987, Amy pursued her passion for hairdressing, dedicating much of her career to making others feel beautiful. More recently, her curiosity and drive led her to graduate from Ross Education as a dental assistant.

Amy was the treasured daughter of Joyce Wetmore and Jerrold Goldner, both of whom predeceased her in death. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Dan (Jo) Goldner, Dawn (Den) Knoll, and Rebecca (Russ) Wolverton, as well as her many cherished nieces and nephews.

She leaves behind a world a little brighter for having been in it, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. If she put joy and laughter into your life, please share a photo or message.
