Catherine Edyth Rumery

Catherine “Cathy” Edyth Rumery, of Berrien Springs, passed away May 11, 2025. Cathy was born on August 14, 1969 in Allegan, the daughter of Daniel Merrill and Patricia Born. Cathy graduated from Allegan High School in 1988 and started her family shortly after. Cathy was a devoted stay at home mother and family meant the world to Cathy. Cathy enjoyed all genres of music, reading biographies, and conversations with her sisters.

She was preceded in death by her father Daniel Merrill and step father Norbert Born. She is survived by her mother Patricia Born, children Peter (Amanda) Wyman, Ryan (Alicia) Wyman, Brianna (Jason) Martin, Josh Rumery, and Jacob Rumery, grandchildren Greyson and Brooklyn Wyman, Blessing Wyman, Amelia and Harper Martin, siblings Beth (Todd) Ter Avest, Jill (Bob) Cardona, Christine (Jeff) Ficks, Dan (Linda) Merrill, Debbie Penton, Lorie Degarmo, and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place, family and friends are invited to gather from 9:30-11:30 AM on Friday May 16, 2025 at Living Hope Community Church, 9292 E CD Ave Richland, MI 49080 for visitation, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:30 AM.
