Constance Jane Marlatt, of Richland, passed away April 16, 2025 at her residence. Connie was born on June 13, 1929 in Evanston, IL the daughter of Edward and Katherine (Carroll) Coughlin. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University and attended Nazareth Academy. Connie was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Augusta, MI from the parish’s beginning as a mission church in Yorkville. Connie was a Master Gardener attending the MSU Master Gardener program. She was a member of the Seedlings Garden Club and the Kalamazoo Garden Council and was a state-level horticulture judge. Connie volunteered at the Kalamazoo Health Department neo natal screening unit. She was a Girl Scout Leader at St. Augustine school for many years nurturing a generation of young women. She was a member of St. Ann's Guild, Mass Coordinator, Extraordinary Minister, flower committee member and garden coordinator. She was an excellent seamstress and knitter. Connie not only liked to garden, she liked to play cards and participated in an ongoing ten-year Saturday-night game of Hand and Foot with friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Edwin Marlatt her brother Edward T. Coughlin III, her sister Carol P. McBride and infant daughter Maryanne. She is survived by her daughter Patricia (Yolande Crosby) Scully, her son John (Jan Gabriel) Marlatt, daughter Rosemary (Margaret Smith) Marlatt, son Mark (Leslie Baron) Marlatt, and son David (Mary Whalen) Marlatt, nieces Cathy Harper, Katherine Councell, Rene Calitis, Julie Vachon, Elaine Marlatt, Stacy Marlatt, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
