Dennis L. Rodell

Dennis L. Rodell, 84, of Coloma, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Beacon Kalamazoo. He was born August 3, 1941 in Dowagiac, Michigan, the son of Victor and Leota (Robinson) Rodell. He spent most of his career working as a machinist for FP Rosback in Benton Harbor/St. Joseph, retiring after 40 years of service. Dennis was a member of the deaf community and graduated from the Flint School for the Deaf. In earlier years, he was actively involved in the Southwest Michigan Association for the Deaf (SWAD) and served as the association president. He was also a member of Cornerstone Pentecostal Church in Portage and enjoyed traveling.

Dennis is survived by three children, Tammy (Kay Hensley) Rodell of Gypsum, CO, Angela Rodell of Benton Harbor, and Corey Rodell of Northridge, CA; two grandchildren, Aaron and Alan Rodell; stepdaughter, Cheryl Murillo; three step-grandchildren, Amanda, John and Josh Murillo; and seven step-great grandchildren, Aden, Alayna, Kaiden, Attalya, Mariah, Layla, and Weston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Bonita Rodell in 1999, his second wife, Cora Rodell in 2018, and three brothers, Robert, James and Brian Rodell.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Cornerstone Pentecostal Church, 1809 Romence Road, Portage, MI 49024.
