Jarratt Winfield Martin Jr.

Jarratt W. Martin was 89 when he passed away on Wednesday July 24, 2024 in Kalamazoo. Jerry was born January 27, 1935 in Crosbyton, TX, the son of Winfield and Beatrice (Vance) Martin. He retired as a court reporter from the Kalamazoo Federal Court, and was a member of the National Court Reporters Association. He enjoyed spending time with his family, driving, music, reading, crossword puzzles, going out to eat, sharing stories of the past, being the star, smiling for pictures, and making people laugh. Jerry was united in marriage to Jane (Dreifus) Martin who preceded him in death on November 7, 2019. Surviving are two daughters, Brooke Martin, Blaire Martin; four grandchildren, Rylan Martin, Kellan Martin, Owen Latulippe, Jude Latulippe; two sister, Wanda Martin and Cindy Martin. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Living Options, specifically Bronson House, where Jerry lived during his final days.
