Jon F. Sackett

Jon F. Sackett, 73, of Kalamazoo passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at his home. He was born September 7, 1952 in Kalamazoo, the son of Franklin and Wanda (Rekel) Sackett. Jon enjoyed biking and golfing and enjoyed spending time in nature. He also was an avid collector of remote control model airplanes. He was also employed by Pemco until their operation moved out of state.

Jon is survived by four children, Christopher (Andrea) Sackett, Gary (Dawn) Sackett, Patrick (Jenell) Sackett and Shawn (Pamela) Sackett; nine grandchildren, Katlyn (Tate), Summer, Maddie, Allie, Owen, Lincoln, Aysa, Nolan and Mira; three siblings, Jan (late Roy) Teter, Gail (Dan) Grabel and Bob (Judy) Sackett; and his niece, Jamie Sackett. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Sackett.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. For those wising to make a contribution in his memory, the family suggests Compassus Hospice.
