Kathryn L. Stratton

Kathryn L. Stratton, 73, of Kalamazoo, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025 at her home. She was born February 28, 1952 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Jerome and Evelyn (Mindik) Gier. Kathryn graduated from Holy Name School in Omaha and later moved to Michigan. She was employed by Knouse Foods in Paw Paw until her retirement. Kathryn was a true animal lover, and she especially loved cats making sure all the neighborhood strays were well fed. She also enjoyed reading and watching detective and sci-fi shows, Supernatural was a favorite.

Kathryn is survived by two children, Desiree (Patrick McCoy) Stratton who was her dedicated caregiver, and Nathan Miller; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her 11 siblings.
