Margery JoAnne Searl-Snider

Margery J. Searl-Snider, age 84, of Kalamazoo, passed away on July 15, 2026 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. She was born December 10, 1941 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the daughter of Ferdinand Hageman and Mina Rose (Brown) Hageman.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Rankin; three sons, John Arthur (Kelly) Rankin, Mark (Michelle) Rankin, Timothy (Melanie) Rankin; grandchildren: Deborah Bogardus, Daniel Fritz, John Arthur (Kelsey) Rankin II, Benjamin Rankin, DeLaura (Corben) Spurlock, Paul (Gadea) Rankin, Theresa Rankin, Matthew Rankin, Sarah Rankin, Carson Rankin, Morgan Rankin, Paityn Rankin; great-grandchildren: Gavin Fritz, Chloe Fritz, Hudson Fritz, Brin Fritz, Chastity (Joe) Fish, Cadence (Jacob) Borrink, Isaac Borgardus, Elizabeth Bogardus, Theodore Bogardus, James Rankin, Jonas Rankin, Nikita Williams, Vivian Spurlock, Deborah Spurlock and great-great-grandchildren: Anneliese Fish, Levi fish, Angela Fish, and Jane Borrink.

Margery was a self-employed cosmetologist who owned and operated her own salon for many years. Dedicated to her clients, she often traveled to their homes to provide whenever it was needed. Outside of her work, Margery found great joy in baking and was especially known for making the most delicious homemade pies. Above all, she cherished her grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald Searl, and her husband, Dean Snider.

A memorial service to celebrate Margery's life will be held at 5 PM Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Faith Chapel, 7736 W. G Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI.
