Mary Jeanne Juzwiak, 89, of Kalamazoo, passed away Monday, September 29, 2025 at StoryPoint Portage. Mary Jeanne was born October 10, 1935 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Donald and Betty (Daly) Fleckenstein. She was a 1953 graduate of St. Augustine High School. On September 7, 1957, at St. Augustine Cathedral, she was united in marriage to Roman Juzwiak. Roman and Mary Jeanne were the owners and operators of Precision Heat Treating in Kalamazoo. Upon Roman’s untimely passing in 1980, she took over the operation of the business so she could support her family, and the business could be passed on to their sons. Mary Jeanne was a lifelong member of St. Augustine Cathedral. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, performances and treating the family to summer vacations in South Haven.
Mary Jeanne is survived by three sons, Donald (Susan) Juzwiak, Paul (Ann) Juzwiak, and Joe (Lana Hale) Juzwiak; five grandchildren, David (Sarah) Juzwiak, Daniel (Madeline) Juzwiak, Emily (Oscar Reyes Gaido) Juzwiak, Matthew Juzwiak, and Steven (Anna) Juzwiak; a brother, John (Sandy) Fleckenstein; her niece, Annette Fleckenstein, and nephew, Fr. John Fleckenstein. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roman.
Family and friends are welcome to gather Friday, October 3, 2025 from 5 – 7 PM at Adams – Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave., Kalamazoo, where the Rosary will be recited at 6:30. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 10 AM at St. Augustine Cathedral. She will be laid to rest at Mount Olivet Cemetery. For those wishing to make a contribution in her memory, the family suggests St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
