MaryAnn Case

MaryAnn Case, 95, of Kalamazoo, MI, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at StoryPoint Of Oshtemo in Kalamazoo, MI.

She was born November 11, 1930 in Iron Mountain, Michigan, the daughter of Julio Mottes and Gladys (Manko) Mottes.

MaryAnn found great joy raising her family and creating lasting memories around the table with her delicious Italian dinners. An avid golfer and bowler, she participated in bowling and golf leagues for many years. She loved traveling throughout the United States with Howard in their RV, often spending the miles working on needlepoint projects during their adventures. MaryAnn and Howard's love story began when they met at the ice cream shop in Iron Mountain where she worked. They were married on March 1, 1947.

She is survived by her daughter, Lori A. Stanaszek; son Jeffery A. (Dawn) Case; eight grandchildren, Jessica (Adam) Eisenberg, Lance (Courtney) Mitchell, Bob (Dana) Case, HattieMae Mitchell, Megan (Kevin) Stamats, Mary Lyn (Tyler) Ross, Jami Stanaszek, Casey (Kaylee) Stanaszek and eleven great-grandchildren.

MaryAnn was preceded in death by her husband Howard, son, Lawrence E. Case, daughter, Lynn M. Case, son, Ray H. Case, brother, Bernard Mottes., and granddaughter Heather L. Case.
