Stephen L. Vidosics, 82, of Kalamazoo, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Sue’s Loving Care in Kalamazoo. Steve was born June 8, 1943, in Chicago, and was raised by his mother, Ann (Balough) Vidosics. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and then went to work at General Motors. On February 10, 1971, he was united in marriage to Pauline “Polly” Jenkins, who preceded him in death in 2010. As an avid car enthusiast, he founded Steve’s Used Cars and enjoyed tinkering with cars. Steve found great joy in attending car shows with his son, Stevie, and was a devoted supporter of his daughter, Stefi, never missing one of her basketball or softball games. He was a beloved father figure and best friend to his stepson, Michael, who will greatly miss their hours of long talks about nothing and everything. A loyal sports fan, he proudly rooted for the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions through every season. After retiring from GM after 30 years of service, Steve had a hard time sitting still. He kept himself busy doing odd jobs. He managed rental properties and proudly supported his son, Stevie, with his business, Lawn Perfect. Steve touched the lives of everyone around him and will be deeply missed.
Steve is survived by three children, Stephanie (Dan) Robinson, Michael (Tara) Parent and Michelle Parent; four grandchildren, Sara (Matt) Redding, Keaton (Lauren) Parent, Tristan Parent, and Ashtyn Parent. In addition to his wife Polly, he was preceded in death by his mother, Ann, and his son, Steven Vidosics.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and Steve will be laid to rest at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park at a later date. For those wishing to make a contribution in his memory, the family suggests Sue’s Loving Care.
